Why gambling is legal in goa, daman, Sikkim and not in other states of India?

Overview

Gambling is the oldest form of gaming in India as it was also mentioned in many Indian holy books like Mahabharat that shows that how the warriors used to play these types of gambling games when they are not in the war fields.

But it also shows that it can create a dispute in many people because of the inappropriate bets like in ancient times they can even put their house, property or their women also on the stake which creates a negative perspective towards this game in India.

In India, everyone knows that gambling is only played legally in some states of India like Goa, Sikkim, and daman which is only allowed by the government because of their revenue generation as it helps the government in their budgets because they get a huge amount of tax and also because many citizens have employment because of it.  

Goa is known as the vegas of India because of its quality lifestyle it is the most desirable holiday place everyone wants to come for chilling out so that's why the casinos are not for available for the locals it is only allowed for the tourists, whether they are from other state or country, so that no one can get addicted of gambling.

When in India in the earlier days when gambling was not legal in anyways so the business owners played a very smart move of shifting the casino from land to water as in legal terms Gambling is not legal on Land so it is now played on the ships.

Casinos on ships turn out to be a cracking Idea because people now can enjoy both Cruze ship's journey and the gambling experience.

Later on, the government rules as the casinos are only allowed in Five-star hotels or in offshore. So some of the casinos are working as floating casinos and some are built inside Five-star hotels.
